ANKARA — President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Türkiye earned US$25.746 billion in tourism revenue during the first six months of 2026 and retained a US$65 billion year-end target.
The figures appeared in his World Tourism Day message, published by the Directorate of Communications on 27 September. The realised revenue figure covers January–June; the full-year amount is a target.
The announcement did not provide a separate second-half result or state that the annual target had already been achieved. Tourism statistics are published on their own official reporting schedule.
Tourism receipts include expenditure by foreign visitors and citizens resident abroad. They should not be equated with visitor numbers or treated as proof of uniform growth in every destination and business. The eventual annual result depends on the remaining reporting periods.
